Full disclosure: I was skeptical about this course. I thought I could figure it out for myself, and was skeptical of anyone who claimed to have found the secret to raising kids. But Early Engagement was entirely different than anything else I had read. It doesn’t focus on the stuff you read in various baby books. It’s more about community and a framework of care.

There is something about taking a class she doesn’t have to take that brings balance to the relationship and reinforces that you’re on the same team.

I realized I had been deferring to my wife about a lot of decisions, which was stressing her out more than I realized. Cultivating my own point of view and the dialogue that StrongStart sparked was invaluable.
